Hello again, dear visitors of our website. Continuing the topic of the use of Jurassic stone in interiors, we would like to present to your attention one of the largest shopping and entertainment centers in Vladivostok.
The speech is about the shopping mall "Kalina Mall" located right on the shore of the Golden Horn Bay on Kalinina Street. The project was completed by the Russian team KM Architects in record time. At the request of the client, the company "Artayar," a natural product with excellent operational qualities was to be used as the material for the interior finishing. The task was to build a center of attraction for the residents of Vladivostok and numerous tourists in the recently opened visa-free zone of Primorye at a high European and North American level.
Considering the experience of the team of architects who worked in England and Italy, the client decided to use Jurassic marble.
An individual mosaic was developed for different areas of the promenade between the squares with boutiques and shops.
Preliminary mock-ups of the floor sections were made for approval with the client and the architect.

As can be seen from the photo, to give the design individuality, the architect, in agreement with the client, used large-format slabs 900x900x20 of different shades. Several varieties of Jurassic marble were used in total: JuraLimestone Jura Cream, JuraLimestone Jura Gold, JuraLimestone Jura Noce, and JuraLimestone Jura Beige.
The cladding of columns and pilasters made of Jurassic marble of various layers was also planned, to create a color vector from dark tone to light.
In this pilaster, JuraLimestone Jura Blue (gray-blue material of the lower slab) and JuraLimestone Jura Travertin with a horizontal arrangement of veins were used.
In conclusion, I would like to summarize. The European-level shopping mall "Kalina Mall" is undoubtedly a landmark object in the modern architectural landscape of Primorye. In confirmation of this, it was awarded a first-degree certificate in the prestigious nomination of the best shopping mall in Russia in 2020.
